Out with the Drywall and In with the Wood
Updated: Aug 28, 2019
One of our returning clients was ready to ditch his outside drywall, and replace it with something more eye catching!
After seeing our beautiful wood ceilings, he knew this was the perfect way to add warmth to his outside entry way, and at the same time, add a long lasting ceiling that would be maintenance free.
Our first step to completing any ceiling is having our customers pick out which stain color they would like. We offer 50 different stain colors, that we then hand stain and seal in shop, ensuring that we never have over spray or spillage in our customers home!
Our client decided to go with the found fossil stain, and we agreed it would look great and really stand out!
Once the wood was ready to rock, our next step was to install the wood right over the drywall using non exposed fasteners. To finish off this ceiling our client went with quarter round trim wood to wrap around the perimeter edge to give his new ceiling a clean and finished look.
As you can see below, the difference between the two ceilings is remarkable!
The picture to the left is the painted drywall he had originally, showing all the imperfections. The picture to the right is the upgraded T&G wood stained ceiling that hides all those imperfections and gives the front porch that warm welcoming feeling everyone loves.
